The Maple Buerger Bonsai(Acer buergerianum), commonly known as the Trident Maple, is a hardy deciduous bonsai prized for its compact leaves, vibrant seasonal colors, and excellent growth vigor. This variety is known for producing thick, powerful trunks in a relatively short time, giving the tree a strong and mature presence.
Its foliage offers a beautiful display throughout the year—bronze and green in spring, rich green in summer, and warm red, orange, and yellow tones in autumn. In winter, the tree naturally loses its leaves, revealing its elegant branching structure.
This specimen is currently in a growing plastic pot, ideal for further trunk thickening and development. Photos were taken in October 2025, showcasing its autumn shades.
