The Ficus Microcarpa “Ginseng” is instantly recognizable thanks to its thick trunk and exposed roots, giving it a sculptural, artistic appearance highly appreciated in bonsai cultivation. This robust and undemanding species adapts easily to bright indoor environments, which is why it is commonly kept as an indoor bonsai.
However, it thrives best when provided with plenty of natural light, and it will also greatly benefit from being placed outdoors between May and September/October.
This mature specimen, 25 years old with a waist of 55 cm, displays strong structure, healthy foliage, and impressive stability.
Photos were taken in October 2025.
